Jim Crockett Promotions, 1988 – It was one of the most jaw dropping angles in Jim Crockett Promotions. Bobby Eaton and Stan Lane, managed by Jim Cornette, were enjoying their run as dastardly heels The Midnight Express. They even held the NWA Mid-Atlantic Tag Titles, which eventually morphed into the WCW Tag Team Titles.

Enter a young Paul Heyman, then known as Paul E. Dangerously. Dangerously brought with him the original incarnation of The Midnight Express of Dennis Condrey and Randy Rose. And thus began the only national angle which had Cornette as a babyface…
