Tom Baker, arguably the most iconic incarnation of Doctor Who, has leaked that he will be part of the Star Wars universe. The 81 year old actor was featured at The Day Of The Doctors convention in England where he told fans “I’m going to be in this new Star Wars thing, you know? I’m going down to recording some voices for this new character they’ve created for me, very soon.”

Baker did not clarify what character he will be playing, or what specific project he will be part of. However, the fact that he mentioned voice recording would seem to imply something in animation or games. Star Wars Rebels is set to return to Disney XD this fall, and there are many video games in the works for multiple platforms.

As some ardent fans know, Baker would not be the first Time Lord to step foot into a galaxy far, far away. Modern favorite David Tennant voiced the droid Jedi teacher Huyang in the fifth season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

More than 40 years after first donning the scarf, Tom Baker still works on Big Finish audio productions as The Doctor along with fellow Doctors Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, and Paul McGann.

We’ll update on Tom Baker’s involvement with Star Wars as we hear it.
